TAKING CARE OF YOUR SKIN DURING ADOLESCENCE

Why is it important to follow a daily facial skin routine?

During adolescence, various mutations occur at the physical, hormonal and psychological levels. The skin is one of those organs that is affected by these changes exponentially.

Hormones , in fact, stimulate the sebaceous glands to produce a greater quantity of sebum, if it is not controlled and adequately eliminated it can accumulate in the follicles, causing a fertile ground for the proliferation of bacteria and therefore giving rise to inflammation, the appearance of blackheads, papules and pustules (pimples).

For this reason, it is very important to start taking care of the skin in the most appropriate way to keep it healthy and strong.

Proper cleansing is the first step to have a beauty and health skin . It must be accurate, using gentle products, never aggressive otherwise you risk altering the skin barrier, the superficial layer, which protects us from environmental and physical chemical aggressors.

Applying serums and creams would make no sense if we haven’t thoroughly cleansed our skin first

CLEANSING : Everyday, morning and evening.

Follow with the application of creams and/or serums to purify, hydrate, nourish.

PURIFICATION AND/OR HYDRATION : Every day, morning and evening.

Depending on your skin type, you need to exfoliate your skin 1 or 2 times a week using an EXFOLIATING product and then a specific MASK .

Especially during the summer, it is a good habit to apply a cream with UVA and UVB protection.

In addition to using appropriate products, it is important to drink plenty of water and herbal teas, and to follow a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, cereals, and proteins, while limiting fatty foods, salt, dairy products, and sugars. Avoid touching your skin and improperly squeezing pimples and blackheads. It is also recommended to have a professional facial cleansing once a month.

Caring for your skin daily is a vital act of self-love that supports both physical and mental well-being.
