BLIND PIMPLES
Blind pimples are a very common blemish in pre-adolescent and adolescent.
These are closed comedones, acne cysts or nodules that form at a deep level, they can be very large, red, swollen and painful or very small. They appear individually or in groups especially in the T-zone of the face, back, chest, thighs, buttocks.
Blind pimples are caused by inflammation that occurs in the deeper layers of the skin. This type of pimple is different from classic blackheads because it remains trapped under the surface, never fully emerging.
Main causes:
- Hormonal imbalance : especially during adolescence or during periods of hormonal changes (such as the menstrual cycle), sebum levels in the skin increase, increasing the risk of deep blemishes.
- Excessive sebum production and thickened stratum corneum : when sebum and dead skin cells build up in the pores, they become clogged, leading to inflammation and formation of blind pimples.
- Over-cleaning or inadequate cleansing : Over-cleansing leads to skin irritation and increase the production of sebum that cause clogging pores. Insufficient cleansing allows sebum and impurities to accumulate, creating an environment that encourages bacterial growth.
- Using unsuitable products : using products that are too aggressive or not suitable for your skin type can make the situation worse, further clog the pores or cause irritation leading to this type of imperfection.
- Stressful periods : stress affects hormone production and can therefore worsen the appearance of the skin.
- Unbalanced diet, rich in fats, sugars, excessive alcohol consumption, smoking can negatively affect.
